Dr Samadi A Pioneer In Robotics

By Phyllis Schroeder

Cancer seems to be striking so many individuals in this day and time, especially with prostate cancer. Dr Samadi, a well-known oncologist originally from Iran, makes it his mission to fight this evil disease through his own unique and effective methods. He is most well known for his use of robotics during his many operations on patients in varying stages of this illness.

This type of cancer is most common among middle age and older men. The many symptoms include the onset of painful urination, lowered sexual ability, and an increase in the frequency of urination. Although this disease is becoming more common, the rate of mortality is lowered very year as physicians such as this notorious individual find new ways to combat its progress.

This talented physician immigrated from overseas at a very young age. He was born in Iran and fled the country with his brother after Iran became too dangerous for them to stay, leaving parents and a younger sister behind. He and his brother attended school in Belgium and England before immigrating to America. The two boys finished high school and both continued on to college.

His sibling went on to medical school and became a respected ear, nose, and throat physician while he struck out on his very own and began to specialize in prostate cancer and similar diseases. He went to a variety of schools such as Stony Brook University, medical school at the Albert Einstein College and and also at the Montefiore Medical Center and various hospital fellowships.

This dedicated physician has been the benefactor for over 6,000 patients with prostate cancer. Through his progress methodology in his many surgeries, their lives have completely changed for the better. He is most famous for his SMART program, also known as the the Samadi Modified Robotic Treatment. This is a noninvasive surgery technique that is very effective as it leaves virtually no scars, is less painful than regular surgery, has less blood loss, and a much shorter recovery time. It is so popular that many celebrities have come to him for their own surgeries as his rate of success is almost 90%.

This committed doctor is now working as an oncologist at the famous Lenox Hill Hospital. There he is also the Chief over the Robotic Surgery Department and the Chairman of the Urology Department. He also works part-time as both a radio commentator for a medical segment of a well known radio station in New York and correspondent for FOX news medical department.

Individuals who would like more background and updates on this well-known doctor can follow him on his personal blog. Here he answers health and well being questions of the general public and posts articles on everything from dieting to the various forms of cancer. His blog covers many more issues than just prostate cancer and he publishes continuously to update his followers on what is going on in the medical arena.

This story is made even more inspiring because this doctor came from extremely humble and difficult beginnings. His motivation and intelligence took him to where he could truly help others who were suffering and in pain. He has saved many lives and his patients are grateful for his commitment to and expertise in the medical field. Hopefully, he will make many more discoveries and come up with even more advanced means to help those stricken with cancer and other illnesses.

The Life Of David Samadi

By Daphne Bowen

Samadi is widely trained and experienced in laparoscopic and open traditional surgery and is also board certified. His ethnicity is Jewish-Iranian. His place of birth is Iran and he lived there up until he was forced out by the Iranian Revolution. After leaving Iran together with his brother, he settled in Belgium. David Samadi later moved and settled in the US state of New York.

Owing to his mobile life during his tender age, he schooled in Belgium, London, and the US. However, after moving to the US, he settled in New York, where he has spent most of his life ever since. He specialized in urology, later earning a degree in the same field. He is an expert of robotic prostate surgery and has worked with some of the most known health institutions.

Six thousand is the number of robotic prostate surgeries that Samadi has successfully performed. The rate of success is at 89%. Over 83% of all patients treated become cancer free after being treated with SMART. Sexual functionality is also regained in less or slightly more than a year after operation.

Development of SMART, an advanced prostate cancer surgical technique is one of the main achievements the doctor has achieved. SMART stands among the most advanced surgical methods in use worldwide today. It has not been used by any other surgeon except Doctor David. Samadi trusts his assistive team and always carries out all operations with its assistance. He never changes members of the team. In fact, he has never changed the team since he started working as a surgeon.

David still maintains the same team he moved to Lenox Hill Hospital with from Presbyterian Hospital. His SMART invention is a revolutionary technique capable of reducing blood loss to very low levels. In fact, blood transfusion is usually not necessary when SMART is used for surgery. Other surgical methods lead to massive blood loss that a patient can only survive if they receive a blood transfusion.

According to many reviews made by previous patients, David provides excellent care before and after the surgery. Each patient is cared for depending on the nature of care they need. This ensures that there are no chances of complications arising because of the kind of care provided. The assistive team is always on the ready to serve patients as soon as they arrive. Waiting time is kept to the minimum.

David is known for not delegating his responsibilities. He performs all surgical procedures together with his team without delegating them. This has helped him to be recognized and respected a lot. Many patients prefer the main doctor to operate on them rather than assistants. Many magazines and news agencies recognize him for his efforts. He was named the highest paid doctor in New York in 2012. A local university also appointed him as a professor in the school of medicine.

The academic qualifications of the doctor are very high. He has been attending many fellowships in laparoscopic, robotic, and open surgery. Additionally, he also continues to get more training to be better. One can learn about him through his website.
